  • Two-way movements can be absorbed using the coupled expansion joints.
  • Universally coupled equalizer connector consists of two spirals (bellows).

Motion absorption

  • This type of expansion joints are used to absorb lateral movements in all planes.
  • Due to the special position of the two mounting bars at 180 degrees, the expansion joints can simultaneously absorb lateral and angular deformations.
  • The size of the lateral deformation depends on the number of bellows connections on each side of the expansion joint.
  • This amount can also be increased by changing the length of the intermediate pipe.
  • The studs help to avoid possible twisting forces.
